How To Install and Download VMware Workstation 17?
Firstly, you will need to prepare a computer system with a reasonably good configuration. Specifically,
- Supported Operating Systems: Windows 11 / Windows 10 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 7
- Processor: Multicore Intel Series or higher, Xeon, or equivalent AMD
- RAM: 4GB (8GB or more recommended)
Free Hard Drive Space: Recommended 4GB or more
Then, let’s proceed with the Download VMware Workstation 17 and installation!
Step 1: Go to https://www.vmware.com/products/workstation-pro/workstation-pro-evaluation.html
If you’re using Windows, you should select “Download Now” under the “Workstation Pro for Windows” section.
Step 2: After downloading, right-click on the downloaded file and select

After your computer restarts, the software installation will continue. If it doesn’t, repeat Step 2, and the installation will proceed.
Step 4: The initial installation interface will appear. Select “Next” to proceed.
Step 5: Accept the software’s terms of use agreement. Check the box ✔ “I Accept the terms in the license agreement” and then select “Next” to continue.
Step 6: Customize the installation settings. Select “Next” to proceed.
For the subsequent steps in the software installation, you can generally choose “Next” following the default options.
Step 7: Begin Installation
After selecting “Next” a couple of times, you will reach the “Install” section. Click on “Install” to start the installation process.
Step 8: Wait for a moment until the “Finish” Screen Appears
Once the “Finish” screen is displayed, as shown below, you’re all set. Select “Finish” to complete the installation process.
So, you have completed the software installation process on your computer.
Part 2: Using the Software
Step 1: On your computer, go to the search icon and type “VM”. The system will suggest the VMware Workstation Pro software, as shown below. Click on “Open” to launch the software.
Step 2: The software will prompt you to enter the product key.
